After taking photos for the Dozen Photo Challenge, I think this photograph is my most successful image, capturing complementary colors of red and green. The subject of the photo is in full focus, allowing the other aspects of the bush to highlight the main branch of berries. The lighting of this photo also allows the colors to pop, especially the red, which is complementary to the green surrounding it.

The most challenging aspect of this challenge was taking lighting into consideration, as lighting changes the success of the image. I had to be more creative in what angles I was taking photos in order to have the best position of light, with creates more depth and detail in a photograph. The quality of light greatly affects the subject, so I thought it was challenging to take best advantage of where the light was in the photo.

In order to create stronger images in the future, I want to be more creative with lighting and take more photos outside during golden hour, where the sun's lighting and positioning can create more satisfying and higher quality images. With that being said, I think it would be beneficial to plan out what time I want to take certain photos.

On another student's post, I commented, "I love this photograph! I think it is a perfect example of monochromatic colors. I think the angle of the photo allows you to see the complexity of this photo, as there is a lot to look at, from the footprints, to the tire tracks, to the house and cars, and even the bushes. There is a lot of detail in this photo, and I think you captured it great! My only suggestion is to crop the image, from the top and bottom, to get rid of the building in the back and the driveway, in order to focus more on what is happening in the middle, where the snow is more prominent. Other than that, I think the exposure and contrast of the image allow the monochromatic colors to be perfectly in focus, highlighting the small details. I think this photo is calming and represents the gloomy weather from the snow in a creative way. Great job!"

When looking through all the photographs from your dozen photo challenge this one was also my favorite, I loved the use of complimentary colors which draws in the viewer to the picture instantly, I also liked how the angle that the picture was taken in helped a lot since you could see the light bouncing off the berries while shadows are cast on some of the leaves. I think that the background looks a bit cluttered but the blur used helped a lot with making the subject the primary focus of the viewer.
